With great success was completed the opening ceremony of the CNC TRAINING CENTER – 1ST HTEC IN GREECE, which took place on Wednesday, May 28th 2014, at 8.00pm in its facilities at 19th klm Athens – Lavrion, Paiania.

Specialized in the provision of practical hands-on training and comprehensive technical knowledge on cutting-edge CNC machine tools operation and programming in real environment, opened its doors the CNC TRAINING CENTER – 1ST HTEC IN GREECE.

CNC TRAINING CENTER is the 1st HTEC (Haas Technical Education Center) in Greece and the 150th all over the world. It is certified by Haas Automation Inc. – Νο.1 manufacturer of CNC machine tools in America and Europe – and operates as Lifelong Learning Center approved by EOPPEP of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.

It is an initiative of two ambitious professionals with solid experience in the sector of CNC formulations and current co-owners of CNC Solutions, a Greek company which since 2003, specializes in the manufacturing of metal components and parts of high precision and complexity with the use of CNC machine tools.

The trainings of CNC TRAINING CENTER have been designed so that students – regardless of age, sex, degree or experience – acquire the skills needed to work directly as specialized CNC machine tools technicians. The demand for CNC machine tools operators and programmers at domestic and international level is very high and estimated to increase further. The lack of CNC specialists in Greece and Balkan area is overwhelming.

In the CNC TRAINING CENTER will be trained not only graduates of Polytechnic Universities or schools but also hobbyists of any age turning their hobby into profession; will also be trained Haas clients from Greece and the Balkan area.

The overall aims of the pioneering investment and the training programs were presented by the co-owners of CNC TRAINING CENTER, Mr. Panos Gounas and Mr. Kostas Enezlis, during their speeches in the opening ceremony.
The HTEC network and its contribution to the strengthening of local economies as well as the development potential for Haas Automation Inc. in Greece and the Balkan area, were stressed out by Mr. Bert Maes, European HTEC Network Coordinator.
The absolute need for the creation of CNC technicians and the high demand of this profession both at domestic and international level, were argued by Mr. Denaxas, BIC VIOLEX Technical Director.
The Formula Student Project and the active contribution of CNC TRAINING CENTER with the provision of technical support and know-how transfer for the design and manufacturing of components of the racing car (which was also showcased during the ceremony) of high precision and complexity were presented by students of the Racing Team of the University of Patras – Greece (Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics).
The potential for strategic development of CNC TRAINING CENTER with know-how transfer in Greece and abroad was addressed by Mr. Dimitris Karavasilis, Managing Director of DK Consultants, which specializes in the strategic development and international marketing.
Finally, Cimcool and GE SUPPLiES (exclusive distributor of Cimcool in Greece and Cyprus) representatives were present with a stand and informed visitors about Cimcool (global manufacturer of metalworking fluids) and its latest product developments.
The opening ceremony attracted over 200 visitors, the majority of which coming from private businesses.
